Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, MARCH 15: Inmates of Zunheboto district jail have raised the issue of the poor condition of their cells, according to a DIPR report on Monday.
The prisoners reportedly raised the issue during an interaction with Advisor for School Education, KT Sukhalu, who had visited the district jail recently.
As per the report, Sukhalu assured to approach the department concerned and address the inmates’ grievances. The Advisor exhorted the prisoners “to change themselves while in jail”.
He also interacted with the assistant jailor, and donated “a generous amount” for the welfare of the inmates, the report stated.
On March 9, Sukhalu handed over the keys of a newly-procured cesspool cleaner vehicle to ADC Zunheboto Renbomo Ezung. He visited various locations where blacktopping of road is being carried out to check the progress and quality of work.
