Assures uninterrupted power supply after completion
Dimapur, January 8: The Power Department is trying to complete the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) in Dimapur with a couple of months for which the department is working round the clock with the assigned contractors of the IPDS on a war footing.
According to power department officials, if everything goes as per schedule, the ongoing IPDS works will be completed soon and Dimapur will get uninterrupted power supply.
Sub-Divisional Officer (Electrical Sub Division 1), En. Oren Ovung told Nagaland Page that the recent power shut down around midnight till morning (around 5 am) in many locations in Dimapur is due to the ongoing IPDS work which is being geared up for completion.
“We have to shut down power in many locations of Dimapur at midnight because in all those areas works are progressing and so shut down is necessary and we are earnestly gearing it to be completed before the arrival of the summer season”, he said.
In many pockets of Dimapur the IPDS poles are already fitted and the department has to do its arrangements, said En. Oren Ovung and is optimistic that within a couple of months the load shedding problems in Dimapur will no longer exists and there will be availability of electricity. (Page News Service)
