Portfolios allocated to 12 Ministers, 24 Advisors in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, MARCH 9: Governor of Nagaland, on the advice of the Chief Minister of Nagaland, has allocated the portfolios and the business of the Government, under the provisions of Rule 5(1) of the Rules of Executive Business of the Government of Nagaland.
According to a notification issued by Cabinet Secretary J Alam, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will hold the Finance; P&AR besides all important policy issues and all other portfolios not allotted to anyone.
Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang would hold Planning & Transformation and National Highway, while Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton would hold Home and Border Affairs.
Among the Cabinet Ministers, G Kaito Aye has been allotted Roads & Bridges; Jacob Zhimomi – Public Health Engineering & Cooperation; KG Kenye – Power, Parliamentary Affairs; P Paiwang Konyak – Health & Family Welfare; Metsubo Jamir – Rural Development, SIRD; Temjen Imna Along – Tourism, Higher Education; CL John – Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Village Guards; Salhoutuonuo Kruse – Women Resource Development & Horticulture; P Bashangmongba Chang – Housing & Mechanical Engineering.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has appointed 24 MLAs as Advisors to various Departments with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by Cabinet Secretary, Noke Wangnao has been allotted Social Welfare; Imkong L Imchen – Information & Public Relation, Soil & Water Conservation; Konngam Konyak – Treasuries & Accounts, Art & Culture; Zhaleo Rio – Urban Development, Municipal Affairs; H Tovihoto Ayemi – Tribal Affairs; Tongpang Ozukum – Water Resources; K Tokugha Sukhalu – Food & Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology; Kazheto – Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services: Mhathung Yanthan-Agriculture; S Keoshu Yimchunger-Youth Resources & Sports; Kropol Vitsu – Prison, Printing & Stationery; Moatoshi Longkumer – Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Excise; TN Mannen – Law & Justice, Land Revenue; A Pangjung Jamir – Fishery & Aquatic Resources; Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome – School Education, SCERT; Kudecho Khamo – Civil Administration Works Division, Taxes; Z Nyusietho Nyuthe – New & Renewable Energy, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority; Hekani Jakhalu Kense – Industries & Commerce; lmkongmar – Minority Affairs, Sericulture; Temjenmenba – Transport. Technical Education; G lkuto Zhimomi – Land Resources; W Chingang Konyak – Geology & Mining, DUDA; S Kiusumew Yimchunger – Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guard & Civil Defence; and Sethrongkyu – Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics, Evaluation.
The Cabinet Secretary stated this arrangement would help utilize the vast and practical experience of the Members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the benefit of public at large.
The Advisors would render their advice on matters that are referred to them by the concerned Department for their views/suggestions before the same is put up to the concerned Minister in-charge for decision.
The Advisors would not be eligible for any pay, salary, emoluments, remuneration or any perks/advantages of any kind, from the Government of Nagaland other than what is normally admissible to them as Members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly through the Assembly Secretariat.
