Dimapur, March 25: Hands on experience of EVM & VVPAT for presiding officers, sector officers & 1st polling officers under Mon district prior to Lok Sabha elections was held on March 25 at DRDA conference hall, Mon.
EVM/VVPAT handling test is mandatory for all presiding officers and 1st polling officers, which is being conducted by DLMTs at the DRDA conference hall between March 25 to April 10.
Kiphire: The second phase training for presiding & 1st polling officers was held at Kiphire Hopongkyu Memorial Hall on March 25 for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election which is scheduled to be held on April 11.
Master trainers K.Aliba, Hotingkyu & Daniel Sechopi imparted training on election guidelines which is to be followed by the presiding officers & polling personnel during the election process in their polling centres.
Kohima: The Medical Board for examining the drafted polling personnel seeking for exemption from the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election 2019 duty on medical ground will be held on March 26 from 10:30 am onwards at NHAK Auditorium Complex.
DC & DEO Kohima, Anoop Khinchi has informed all concerned who have applied for exemption on medical ground to be present for the medical board without fail.
He informed that no applications for exemption on medical ground will be entertained henceforth.
Peren: Training for presiding and 1st polling officers for Peren district was conducted at Town Hall and GMS old Peren simultaneously on March 25.
Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer and Assistant Returning Officer, Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS exhorted the training.
Resource persons were Albert, vice principal, Dr Kekuchol Pusa, assistant professor of Peren Government College & ALMT, Namrenbe PGT, GHSS JLK & ALMT and Alum Zeliang, IOI, DIC.
Medical board: The Chief Medical Officer, Peren has informed that the medical board for examination for all applicants of Government employees under Peren District who have applied on medical ground for exemption of polling/election duties in connection with conduct of the Lok Sabha Election 2019 will be held on March 28, at 10 am at CHC Jalukie, Peren.
Phek: The 1st phase of training for polling officials for the coming Lok Sabha Election got underway at Phek Govt. Higher Secondary School, Phek on March 22. The training was held for the presiding officers and 1st polling officers and on March 23 for the 2nd & 3rd polling officers.
The 2nd phase of training will be held on March 28 for presiding officers & 1st polling officer at 10 am and on March 29 for 2nd & 3rd polling officials at 10 am and the 3rd phase will be on April 8.
Wokha: District Election Officer & Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon today launched a signature campaign on Systematic Educational and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at police point Wokha involving public and students’ community.
The campaign was launched by the Wokha district administration in association Team Metamorphosis on clean election.
Addressing the launching programme, the DC said that SVEEP campaign is one such event where public especially students show their support as participants in democracy. As students they have a bigger role and responsibility by way of educating their parents, friends and relatives about ethical voting for a brighter future, stated the DEO. He also appealed to the participants to disseminate and educate the voters in choosing the right leader who can raise issue concerning about our district and the State.
Drivers informed: Nodal Officer & ETPBS and EAC Wokha, Riku Khutso has informed all drivers whose vehicles have been requisitioned for election duty under Wokha district to collect Election Duty Certificates (Form 12 A) for the ensuing Lok Sabha election 2019 under Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency from the facilitation centre EDC & ETPBS office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Wokha. The last date for acceptance of EDC applications has been fixed on March 29.
All the drivers should enclose a copy of vehicle requisition order along with EPIC or service identity card with photo.
Zunheboto: Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto Shanavas.C and District Election Officer Shanavas. C, Zunheboto, has informed that to facilitate smooth, free and fair conduct of Lok Sabha Election 2019, the District Election Control Room has been set up in the office of the Deputy Commissioner’s and District Election Officer, Zunheboto. Meanwhile the DC Zunheboto has also directed all the requisitioned vehicles for the coming Lok Sabha election to report on April 8 at 8 am at local ground Zunheboto without fail.
Pughoboto: ADC & DEO Pughoboto, K. Mhathung Tsanglao has directed all the polling officials who were absent in the training conducted on March 20 to reply the showcase notice with a written application in person on or before March 27. All absentees shall report to the authority, failing which strict disciplinary action will be initiated as per appropriate section of law.
Drivers informed: The ADC has also informed all drivers under Pughoboto Election District whose vehicles have been requisitioned for election duty to avail the election duty certificate (EDC) from the office of ADC & DEO Pughoboto during office hours on or before March 29. All the driver’s availing EDC should enclosed a copy of vehicle requisition order along with EPIC or service identity card with photo.
