PM likely to attend Rio’s swearing in

Dimapur, March 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the swearing ceremony of Nagaland Chief Minister to be held outside the Raj Bhavan for the first time in an open space at Kohima Local Ground on March 8. Informing this, BJP sources said that Prime Minister’s visit is almost confirmed.
Sources said that PM Modi would also attend the swearing in ceremony at Tripura, where BJP is forming the government for the first time, ousting the Left Government.
Three-times former Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio would be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the fourth time. Rio is the consensus chief ministerial candidate of the People’s Democratic Alliance.

Meanwhile, the BJP Nagaland in a meeting with its 12 elected legislators in presence of Central BJP observers, J P Nadda, Union Minister for Health, Hemanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Chief Minister, Arun Singh, National BJP general secretary and Ajay Jamwal, NE general secretary (Org) elected Y Patton as the BJP Legislature Party leader. Patton was unanimously elected after his name was proposed by P Paiwang Konyak and seconded by S Pangyu Phom.
