Phüsachodümi students general session-cum-Freshers` day held

Kohima, September 10: The 23rd general session-cum-freshers`day of the Phüsachodümi Students` Union Kohima was held on September 8 at Ura Academy hall, mission compound in Kohima.
Akhale Vizol Khamo addl. Director(HOD) department of Tourism was the speaker during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, additional director stressed on the importance of social etiquettes, hospitality, honesty and hardwork in every student`s life.
While highlighted on the blooming industry of tourism in Nagaland and employment opportunities in tourism for the thousands of educated unemployed youths.
Vevozo Vero in his presidential address congratulated the freshers for their success in the recently held examinations. “This is the first step towards following your dreams and achieving your goals and i believe as you journey towards your goal with hardwork and honesty it will bring more achievements to yourself and to our community,” said the president.
He reminded the students that it was their duty to be vigilant in protecting their dreams and not only embrace the opportunities to succeed.
“I believe that all of us as an individual is a leader in our own ways and together we can make a better tomorrow and contribute to our community and society at large” said the president.
Vekropa Cürhah, addl. Secretary (retd.) exhorted the students on the occasion and highlighted the importance of students life to succeed in their career.
The newly executive members for the tenure 2018-2019 was also elected with Vekusa Ruho as the president,Thepuchokholu Chuzho- vice president, general secretary- Vezhorayi Kotso etc.
The program was compered by Vehütalü Vero and Er. Shevezo Theluo, which began with a prayer by Velühülü Rose followed by a traditional tune presented by the Phüsachodümi Union Kohima. Zashenülü Lupo-o presented the statistical report.
Taveyi Sazo delivered a speech on behalf of the freshers` and Niekhoto Cürhah spoke on behalf of the seniors. Münusülü enthralled the gathering with a special number “tasüte”. The program was also blessed by the presence of the G.B, VCC and his colleagues from Phusachodü village. (Page News Service)
