The Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) held its annual general meeting at the outskirts of Dimapur on April 10. Among other discussions, the main agenda was the hosting of the next edition of North East Riders’ Meet (NERM). It was NMC’s turn to host the event in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. The club settled to take further decisions depending on the prevailing COVID situation.
The Department of History, Unity College Dimapur organized a short play on Dandi March as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence on April 6 in the College campus. The narrator of the play was Chunkalungbo of BA 6th Semester and a speech on the significance of the Dandi March was given by Aghato Sumi of BA 4th Semester.
A Special Handloom Expo, organized by Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd and Sponsored by Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India was inaugurated on March 24 by SDO Civil, Dimapur, Hotolu Sema. The Expo will continue till April 6.
The "Mother Heart Skool' a subset of undertaking by the Frontline Ministries, was conducted in Longchem Baptist Church, Mokokchung District from March 18 to 21. Altogether 31 mothers graduated with a renewed commitment to stay true to biblical motherhood. The teachers Rev. Dr. Toshi Langu, Dr. Bendangla Changkiri and Limala Pongen taught on different aspects of motherhood.
A three-member committee from the Press Council of India (PCI) is on a two-day visit in Nagaland to interact with various stakeholders, including the members of the press, Governor and Chief Minister, to evolve guidelines for the media and security forces on reporting in conflict situations, and to organise activities particularly in NE states, Naxal-affected areas and Jammu and Kashmir. Upon arrival in Kohima on March 22 evening, the team held a meeting with members of the Kohima Press Club and other media persons. The team includes Jaishankar Gupta as Convenor of the PCI committee and members Kamal Nain Narang and Pradeep Kumar Jain.

With the objective to help the weavers to showcase their product and also to generate revenue, a Special Handloom Expo, Sekrenyi North-East Region Textile Promotion Scheme (NERTPS), was inaugurated on 15th February 2021 at Urban Haat, Dimapur by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS. The Handloom Expo is funded by Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Altogether 30 stalls have been put up as per the guidelines of Ministry of Textiles.

As part of its initiative to create awareness about safety protocols amidst the Covind-19 pandemic, Everyday Salt distributed 700 masks in Dimapur at two different locations i.e. near Delux Police Point & G S Road on January 29, 2021. The distribution was done with the support of Dimapur based Murti Films Creation (Munna Yadav, Actor), Sentinaro & Preeti Sumi, member of Murti Films Creation, who were among the volunteers during the distribution on Friday. Everyday Salt plans to distribute 10,000 mask throughout northeast under this initiative.

As a mark of their resentment against the insensitive and adamant attitude of the Government of Nagaland and NHIDCL towards their fervent demand for realignment of the road from the zero point for about a kilometre in order to ensure safety and wider junction and better gradient in National Highway between Changtongya and Longleng, leaders of the Akhoya Youth Organization staged a protest and displayed placards expressing their displeasure and eagerness to have better road under their jurisdiction on January 15, 2021. It may be noted that the PWD (NH) Nagaland also wrote to the government of Nagaland in support of the realignment proposal earlier.

To empower women and girls through training in employable skills, one week baking course was successfully conducted with trainer Aseno Neikha from November 2 to 7 at Grace Home, Kohima, organized by FPA India, Nagaland Branch in collaboration with Viphu Home Based Treat. In the process, the participants were also empowered with knowledge of sexual reproductive health & rights including menstrual hygiene management.
