Dimapur, December 21: The first district level co-ordination committee (DLCC) review meeting for National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) Phek was held on December 9 in the DC’s conference hall, Phek under the chairmanship of Imliakum Sanglir, EAC Phek.
The chairman stressed on the importance of proper coordination and cooperation of all members in making the National Tobacco Control Programme a success.
District Nodal Officer, NTCP, Phek Ruyosalu Lase Vizo gave a PowerPoint presentation on the various awareness programmes and activities taken up by DLCC, Phek.
The house also discussed on the actions to be taken up by the enforcement squad and decided that enforcement drive be conducted at the earliest.
SDO (C), Phek Zhoi Lohe emphasized on conducting more awareness programmes. He stressed on the importance of awareness programmes to be conducted in schools & colleges not only in the District HQ but also in other administrative HQs as well. He challenged Phek Govt. College to become the 1st tobacco free college in the District.
