Peren health workers urged to get vaccine shots

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 7: The establishment of Chief Medical Officer, Peren district, under the chairmanship of Dr. Lanuakum, Dy. CMO, held its review meeting on February 5. The meeting was attended by the district programme officers, nurses, pharmacists, DAPCU staff, district and block program management unit staff of NHM.


Dr. Lanuakum reviewed the district coverage of COVID-19 vaccination drive. He stated that the percentage coverage of healthcare workers is still very less and requested all healthcare workers to avail the vaccine.
He also requested all healthcare workers to sensitize the general public and disseminate information about COVID-19 vaccine, especially during the VHNDs in the villages.
He further requested and encouraged the block program managers and block accounts managers to cooperate and coordinate in uploading the RCH portal. He also highlighted and reminded about Ayushman Bharat and the decision made during the Planning board meeting in DC’s Office.
DPM, Elizabeth thanked all the staff involved in the IPPI drive, for their active participation and collective effort in achieving 95% coverage in the district. She also requested the healthcare workers to gather the exact headcount in order to achieve its required target.
She highlighted about the upcoming Intensified Mission Indradhanush where, in the first round, Jalukie and Tening block will be concentrated.
She added that IMI is very important as last year due to the pandemic there were many who missed to avail the facility.
Brief report and awareness on leprosy was presented by Asibo, NLEP; and Vime, Consultant NVBDCP, highlighted about the ongoing programme on Long Lasting Insecticides Treated Bed Nets (LLIN) and requested all health workers to sensitize about the use of LLIN and its importance.
The next review meeting was fixed to be held on March 5.
