Dimapur, November 6: The District Planning and Development Board Peren was held on November 6 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of vice-chairman DPDB and DC Peren, S. Tainiu.
The DC congratulated all heads of offices for their contributions and support in making the recently concluded Mini Hornbill festival celebration a success.
The meeting approved opening of Yettrang Academy Nagaland at Ahthibung; up-gradation of GMS to GHS Khelma; up-gradation of CHC Jalukie to 50 bedded.
Lack of manpower in SBI branch Tening was discussed and the board after lengthy deliberations recommended for early posting of subordinate staffs to fully function the branch to provide banking facilities to the remote areas.
The monthly meeting of Kiphire DPDB was held in the DC conference hall on November 5.
Advisor Fisheries, Evaluation& Statistics, L.Khumo Khiamniungan who also attended the meeting said that Kiphire people are fortunate to have such a dedicated Deputy Commissioner and officers in the district and appealed to the public to cooperate with the district administration for the development of the district. He also requested all the heads of offices to be more sincere and diligent in their work.
The DPDB approved the proposal submitted by the Advisor including proposals for road connectivity, construction of water pipeline, health sector, education sector, veterinary department and fisheries department. The house also discussed on the forth coming cabinet meeting to be held in Kiphire district. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS.
