Dimapur, September 19: Advisor, Power Department, Tovihoto Ayemi today termed the Opposition referring PM Modi’s birthday as “national unemployment day” as “silly and unfortunate” and said it goes on to show that others are not being able to stand the good works that the NDA government is doing.
Speaking as a special invitee on the occasion of the first anniversary of BJP’s 1st Dimapur district executive meeting here at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, Ayemi said that the Modi government did a commendable job in handling the situation during the pandemic and it was the first time that the world witnessed how a government of the day fed 80 crore people for several months and continue to do so.
In the context of Nagaland, he said there are other political parties in the state but no political party came even close in providing relief to the people the way BJP has done and the good works that the party has done in the state is being recognized all over the country. Many are not happy about it and want the party to break, he added.
He said the party has grown from some 10,000 members to 4 lakh members in the span of two years which is a proof that people have immense trust in the party. Ayemi said that the party is growing from strength to strength under the leadership of State BJP President Imna Along and BLP leader Y. Patton and in a family this big, there can always be differences.
He said that those state where a non-BJP government is in place is regretting now and BJP will rise there too. He, however, reminded the attendants that being a national party, there are certain decisions that are made in Delhi and everyone has to abide by them and cannot do “khushi-khushi”.
He asked the party members to create a mechanism so that grievances are addressed smoothly without much confusion.
Earlier, State General Secretary Khevishe Sema in his speech had mentioned that commemorating the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25, a biography of him as well as PM Modi would be released and copies of the same will be made available to all.
Further, he informed about the formation of a “Training and Development Committee” which would be visiting mandals to mandals creating awareness, providing trainings etc.
In the Presidential speech, L. Bendang Ao had said that the working system and organizational setup of the party is different comparing to others and the final say has to come from Delhi.
He stressed on working diligently and in unity for the people and bring more MLAs from Dimapur. (Page News Service)
