Kohima, August 14: The Phek District Cooperative Societies Union (PDCSU) along with Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies Phek and staffs, BOD NSCU today called on agriculture & cooperation minister G. Kaito Aye at GA Rest House, Phek
The Minister emphasized the importance of Cooperative activities and urged the Cooperative leaders to give priority on recovery of ICDP, NCDC loans defaults in order to avail more schemes in near future.
He appreciated the resolution of CPO on banning import pig from outside the district.
He said that such step will really benefits the farmers and boost their economy.
The minister also said that the government is committed to help the farmers who are committed in their endeavour.
Phek ARCS Temjen while welcoming the minister highlighted the department activities in the district, saying that Phek district has a lot of potentiality in agri and allied sectors.
He said that the ARCS office is working very hard for recovery of defaults loans and appealed PDCSU to give their support for the success in it’s endeavour.
PDCSU president Kekhwengulo Lea assured the Minister and the department that it will give full support and cooperation particularly in recovery drive.
Lea said that PDSU will organise training for the registered societies in all divisional level and for which the Union seek the logical support of the department. (Page News Service)
