Dimapur, April 9: Responding to the appeal by the Prime Minister to the Nation to contribute generously towards the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) to help fight the distress situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and other similar situations, all the MLAs of the ruling coalition in Nagaland have decided to contribute 30% of their monthly salary starting from April, 2020 for the next one year to this fund.
This is besides the one month’s salary that all the MLAs of the State have already contributed to the Medical Department of the State in March, 2020, for supporting the efforts of the Government of Nagaland in dealing with the COVID-l9 situation, informed a NLA release. (Page News Service)
