Kohima, October 12: The ruling Progressive Democratic Alliance (PDA) today reiterated the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio.
A joint meeting of PDA MLAs and the PDA coordination committee held at the State banquet hall unanimously resolved to stand firm to the pre and post poll alliance of the PDA under the leadership of Chief Minister, Rio.
The PDA is led by NDPP and driven by the BJP, which has 12 members, and supported by two NPP and one each JD(U) and Independent.
“The PDA is committed to provide stability and pursue the progressive developmental goals of the NDA Government under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi,” the five point resolution adopted after the meeting stated.
The meeting also appreciated the contributions of State Government, organisations and individuals for relief and rehabilitation towards the Chief Minister’s relief fund during and after the natural calamities that had occurred in different parts of the State in kind and prayer support.
The PDA also condoled the demise of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who they said was a towering personality in the history of the country, having made significant contributions and sacrifices in the nation building process of India. The joint meeting also condoled the demise of MLA Imtikumzuk.
“The House agreed to hold a full fledged Cabinet meeting in Kiphire district as part of the PDA Government’s endeavour to take governance and administration to all corners of the State in a manner that is inclusive and where all citizens and stakeholders participate in the developmental aspirations of Nagaland and its people,” the resolution added.
The resolution also extended appreciation to the people for positively responding to the appeal of the Government for mass social work and cleanliness drive in the aftermath of the unprecedented monsoon rains and calamities that had impacted the State. The House also appealed to the people to continue to pursue the goals of clean and green Nagaland.
