PDA campaign at 37 Tuyi AC concludes


Dimapur, May 23: In view of the state lone Lok Sabha seat by-poll election which is scheduled to be held on May 28, the People Democratic Alliance government, comprising of NDPP, BJP JDU and NCP Party held an intensive 3-day campaign at 37th Tuyi assembly constituency under Wokha District.
Private secretary to Deputy chief minister Hachio Patton, addressing during the campaign urged the citizen of state not to have misconception about the chief minister N Rio, coming back to state politics.
He clarified that Rio’s come back to state politics is the desire of the people, to give stable government under his able leadership.
Addressing during the campaign, Hachio Patton said that PDA government has chosen Tokeho Yepthomi as a consensus candidate who has a vast political experience during the past and the party has a trust in his seasoned political leadership, who can speak about the grievances of the Nagas in parliament.
He also called upon the citizens to forgive and forget the difference during the last state Assembly election and collectively support the consensus PDA candidate, and also appealed to the citizens to ensure peaceful and fair poll during the by- election.
BJP wokha district president, Meribemo said in Nagaland history, the ruling government never lost its seat against the opposition candidate. He assured that PDA alliance government consensus candidate Tokeho Yepthomi will win by thumping majority. He further appealed to the people to exercise their franchise in favour of PDA candidate, for more development in the state.
The three days campaign by the alliance partner of PDA government, was led by campaign convenor and BJP President 37 Tuyi AC, Renben Ngullie. The campaign was kicked off on May 21 at Englan range, May 22 on Chukitong range and May 23 at Nyiro range, covering 21 village with more than 21 Lakh voters, which was successfully concluded on May 23.
