PCC (A) celebrates foundation day

Dimapur, August 29: Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) celebrated its 49th Foundation Day on August 28 at Bundrock Chapel Hall, PCC.
To mark the day, Dr. Thepfüvilie Pierü, Principal PCC and Rev. Dr. Vichükho Ngukha, Chaplain PCC gifted representatives of donor villages – Chümoukidema and Seithekima, a rooster and salt under the Angami customary practise. This practise of acknowledging and reaffirming the donation is being followed since the inception of the college.
On the day, Rev. Dr. Tuisem Shishak, Principal Emeritus, PCC said the prayer of blessing and unveiled the Golden Jubilee logo, presented by AG Samuel, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science.
Dr. Kevingulie Khro, Member, BOT & Treasurer on the occasion said, ‘This brings forth a reflection of the past, an encouragement reminding us of the past journey which has brought us to this point as we embark on another year’s success.’
‘This is the time to remember all those who has struggled to shape this college. It’s a time to say thank you. Five decades ago the place was a jungle and it was a roaming place for wild animals but today we have one of the best and the finest college in the northeast of India,’ he said.
Patkai Christian college was established from the belief that education should encompass a complete development of students within the framework of moral absolute, he added.
Semester topper award was also given on the day by Dr. Kevingulie Khro, Member, BOT and Treasurer.
