Dimapur, June 7: Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton handed over N-95 masks, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and financial assistance to Dimapur Press Club (DPC) and DPRO Dimapur on June 7.
According to a DIPR bulletin, Patton lauded the media fraternity for disseminating timely information for the benefit of the general public in any situation.
He termed the media fraternity as one of the most important frontline workers.
The President of DPC, Filip Sumi thanked Patton “for showing his continuous love and concern towards the media persons” and assured him that the media would continue to disseminate factual and important information for the welfare of the people.
Meanwhile, in a press release, Dimapur Press Club stated that Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton has acknowledged the services rendered by the media persons especially during the pandemic and recognized them as frontline workers.
He donated N95 masks, hand sanitizers, gloves and financial assistance to the Dimapur Press Club and DIPR Dimapur at his residence in Dimapur.
