Dimapur, July 27: Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton today inaugurated Aadhar based Biometric system installed in the police headquarters.
Patton talked about issues related to maintenance of law and order, which he felt should be improved. He stressed on the investigation of pending high profile cases which should be brought to logical conclusion at the earliest and monthly progress report to be submitted to the Government.
Patton also stressed on the traffic management and regulation.
He expressed concern over encroachment of police land by civilian and said strict action should be initiated against the encroachers.
The Deputy Chief Minister also stressed on cleanliness drive to be initiated in every police station/police reserve to make Nagaland plastic free state.
He appreciated the welfare activities of the unit commanders.
DPG Nagaland, T J Longkumer, IPS said, “As police officers, we enjoy all the privileges, so it is also our bounden duty to shoulder all responsibilities to provide security, service and sacrifice to the denizens of Nagaland.”
He cautioned all officers not to cross the limits of authority as police officers.
Home Commissioner, Ramakrishnan, IAS reiterated the need of the hour is to be vigilant and pro-active in the matters of mob lynching and to keep on working for the welfare of the jawans. He also appreciated the dedication and good works done by police force in the state.
