
KOHIMA, APRIL 9: The Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly will go to Delhi to meet Central leaders to discuss the Naga political Issue (NPI).
The decision was taken during a closed-door meeting of the Committee held in the State Banquet Hall here today, said Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu.
He said the meeting entrusted the Core Committee of the Parliamentary Committee, headed by the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, to go to Delhi on Monday to meet Central leaders.
The meeting did not adopt any resolution but reviewed the activities of the Parliamentary Committee reiterating an early solution.
Asked if the Core Committee would also be meeting the NSCN (IM) and Working Committee of Naga National Political Groups (WC NNPGs), Kronu said they have not decided anything on that line but would depend on the outcome of their meeting with the Central leaders.
Kronu also informed that appointments have been processed with Central leaders but schedule has not been fixed.
