Pangnyu seeks Centre’s support for State medical college

Dimapur, June 17: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom paid a courtesy call on Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey today in the Union Minister’s chamber in New Delhi.
Phom appraised the Union Minister on Nagaland Medical College and NCDC. He said that Nagaland is the only State in the country that doesn’t have medical college and the State Government is fully committed to start the college functioning by 2020-21 and sought continuous support from the ministry to complete the work in stipulated time.
The Minister also congratulated the Union Minister and Minister of State for appointment as Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and MoS of H&FW respectively and expressed confidence that under their leadership the nation will see tremendous strides in the health sector.
The Minister was accompanied by Principal Secretary for Health and Family Welfare Himato Zhimomi and Director Dr Vizolie. (Page News Service)
