Dimapur, January 27: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom held co-ordination meeting with civil societies and Government officials on January 25 in the DC’s conference hall, Mon to discuss the upcoming Medical College in Mon.
Pangnyu stated that the new Medical College in Mon will be of huge benefit for the Eastern Nagas in particular and the State in general. In regard to the site selection, he requested the land owners to cooperate with the department to find a suitable land for the Medical College free from any issues. He appealed to civil societies and churches to work together with the Government for successful completion of the project.
He informed that Nagaland health project is under World Bank which is also taking up many projects and programmes. He mentioned that the Government departments and civil societies should sit together from time to time to solve issues when it arises.
The Minister was accompanied by Advisor, Fire & Emergency, Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak, MLA Eshak Konyak and MLA Thongwang Konyak besides officials from the concerned department.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS.
