Dimapur, April 6: Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S.Pangnyu Phom accompanied by Departmental Officials called on Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, Union Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shripad Naik today
Pangnyu Phom thanked Union Ministers for their constant support to the State of Nagaland for improving the health care delivery system.
The Minister also appraised the Union Ministers about the progress made by the state in implementing various centrally sponsored schemes. He requested the Ministry of India to extend support to run the Nagaland Medical College in Kohima as a central institute like (NEIGRIHMS or RIMS); improve infrastructure facilities in the District Hospitals in Tuensang and Longleng; set up of a New Medical College in Eastern Nagaland; set up of AYUSH Hospital in all the districts; set up of accident and Trauma centres in all district hospitals; and set up of Regional Medicinal & Aromatic Plants Research Centre in the state.
The Union Ministers have assured to extend all possible help to complete the ongoing projects in the State and also to consider the new projects proposed by the State Government for improving the health sector in the State.
He extended invitation to the Union Ministers to visit Nagaland and see personally the progress made by the State in implementing the centrally sponsor schemes/ projects. (Page News Service)
