DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 3: The Public Action Committee (PAC) Dimapur has expressed concern over rampant and unabated collection of money by various NPGs in Dimapur, and appealed to the Police to be more vigilant.
Strongly condemning such collections when business has been hampered badly due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the PAC said burdening business people at such a time is not sensible.
PAC also expressed shock that various NPGs are collecting money in the name of ‘Christmas’ which, it said, is totally against Christian principles. It appealed the NPGs to reign in its cadres not to abuse and blaspheme God that will bring wrath on our people.
The PAC also reminded the NPGs that in the process of peace talk collection of money is totally unreasonable and instead should be showing seriousness by not angering and displeasing the business fraternity in particular and public in general.
Also informing that it had received complaints of bag snatchers in and around the city, which needs to be contained with sincerity, the PAC again appealed the Police to be more vigilant as customers from other districts flood Dimapur for Christmas shopping.
