Over 450 benefits from Mini Legal Service Camp

Tuensang, July 31: A Mini Legal Service Camp organized by the Tuensang District Legal Services Authority (TDLSA) in collaboration with various district departments on July 29.
Medical services, Aadhaar registration and correction, issue of residential certificate, opening of mini account at State Bank of India, awareness on maternity benefits scheme, free affidavits, legal advices and free pamphlets were various services provided at the camp. These were done along with the Assam Rifles and district Medical department; Social Welfare Department; and Sakhi One Stop Centre and district administration.
The camp has been organized with an aim to legally empower the marginalized groups in the society by providing effective legal representation, literacy and awareness and bridging the gap between the legally available benefits and the entitled beneficiaries. At the same time it aims to apprise the people on welfare schemes and legislations and connect people with the schemes being run by the main departments while providing free services wherever possible.
Victo Sema, Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman TDLSA, Kumdilong Kessen, JMFC & Secretary TDLSA, Yimtsusangla Chang, Project Assistant TDLSA, Soteth Anar, Panel lawyer TDLSA and PLVs participated in the camp.
Inzwak APP and Mitchell APP of Tuensang, Chuba, Notary Public Tuensang also rendered free services during the camp. Col. Yogesh Sharma Addl. DIG of 7 Sector Assam Rifles also paid a visit and had an interaction with all the departments participating in the mini camp.
The mini legal services camp was a follow up programme of Mega Legal Services Camp which was conducted in the month of September 2018 under the initiative of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority and TDLSA in collaboration with all the Government Departments.
About 450 people were benefited during the camp.
