Outreach programme for children from child care institutions culminates
Governor Acharya, his lady wife and other dignitaries with caretakers coordinators of Child Care Institutions of Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Mokokchung Districts at Raj Bhavan Kohima on 9th October.

Dimapur, October 9: “You are not alone, God is with you, we are with you,” stated the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya to children from Child Care Institutions while addressing the 4th and final day of the outreach programme at Raj Bhavan today.
While interacting with 86 children from eight institutions including Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Mokokchung Districts of the State, Governor Acharya called on the children to have a positive attitude towards life the world. He also encouraged the children to study and work hard to achieve their goals and ambitions.
ADC Kiphire, Reny Wilfred, IAS while giving a motivating talk stated that it was one of the best opportunities to be with the Head of the State and to interact and learn from him and called on the children not to let the opportunity go to waste. He also took the life example of DC Kiphire, Muhammad Ali who lived his younger days in an orphanage and stated that no dream is impossible with hard work and dedication. He encouraged the children to walk with the motto “I know can, I Know I will”.
DSP and Olympian, Chekrovolu Swuro while exhorting the children called on the children to give their best in which ever field they were in and not to give up on their passion. Terming it an opportunity to stand before the young group of children, the Olympian acknowledged that talents and confidence shown by the children during their presentations.
Chekrovolu also shared her life experience, how she was faced with many failures in life and how she overcame them all.
Various presentations were made by Mt Carmel Children Home, Sukhalu, Zunheboto, Shalom Children Home, Kiphire, Langsa Hill Children Home, Mon, Evangel Mission Children Home, Longleng, Care and Support Children, Mokokchung, Bethel Children Home, Tuensang and Kohdi Children Home, Tuensang. A dance presentation was also presented by Ineffable Quive Dance Crew.
Chairperson of the programme, Jochule informed that the 4 day outreach programme has had a participation of 527 children including caregivers form 38 homes from all the Districts of the State.
She also mentioned that the programme was conceived by Governor Acharya and was organized by Raj Bhavan in collaboration with the State Child Protection Society, Child Protection Service, Department of Social Welfare.
The formal programme was followed by games and entertainment at the lawns of the Raj Bhavan. The Governor also present carom board, board games, skipping ropes amongst other stationeries to all Child Care Institutions. (Page News Service)
