Orgs condemn May 16 assault

Dimapur, May 17: The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has condemned the assault on a businessman at Chatteshwary colony, Dimapur on May 16 by two miscreants without any provocation.
“Such unprovoked assault on a businessman by barging into a residence-cum-shop demanding things and the attempt to conduct unauthorized checking will not be tolerated by the DCCI,” it said.
The DCCI appeals to the law enforcing agencies to immediately apprehend the culprit. It also wished the victim a speedy recovery.


NPF: The Naga Peoples Front Minority Wing has condemned the May 16 incident at Chatteshwari colony wherein one elderly senior citizen Anil Roy was physically assaulted by two unidentified youth after they trespassed into the victim’s residence.
The minority wing (NPF) requested the law enforcement agencies to take care of the victims family and award befitting punishment to those perpetrators as per law to ensure safety and security to innocent citizens abiding by the laws of the State. It also prayed for early recovery of the victim.
DNSU: The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union has also expressed concern at the unbecoming situation where some self styled goons are not only breaking the laid down SOPs, but also assaulting and causing harm to innocent residents/shopkeepers.
In a release, the DNSU condemned the May 16 assualt on a shopkeeper namely Anil Roy of Chatteshwary colony, West Yard area at his residence, while also misbehaving with his family members by two unidentified Naga youths.
The union appealed to the law enforcement authorities to book the culprits at the earliest and award befitting punishment.
DBSU: The Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union has also strongly condemned the incident wherein
One Anil Roy was allegedly beaten up by two unidentified men in Chatteshwary colony of
Westward on May 16 during lockdown hours, saying such barbaric and inhuman act is totally unjustifiable and not at all acceptable.
The DBSU called upon all right thinking citizens and intellectuals to condemn the act. It also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly and take stringent action against the culprits.
The union also wished speedy recovery to the victim.


CHS: The Chümoukedima Hindu Society has strongly condemned the unprovoked and physical assault on Anil Roy, a resident of Chhateshwary colony (Westward Colony) on Sunday by two unidentified persons trying to access his house and shop forcefully.
The CHS urged the District administration and the police authority to nab the culprits at the earliest and initiate befitting action against them.
CHS also extended deepest sympathy to the victim and prayed for his speedy recovery.
