Orgs condemn firing at LS MP’s residence

Dimapur, March 10: The Sümi Hoho has condemned the incident whereby miscreants attempted to barge into the residence of Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Tokheho Yepthomi at Naharbari, Dimapur and fired on the night of March 6 at around 11 pm.
“Such instances of life attempts and gun culture in our society are unwelcomed and condemned which should be completely eradicated from our society,” it said and urged the law enforcing agencies to leave no stone unturned to identify and apprehend the culprits.
The Sümi Hoho also cautioned any individual or group not to use the name of the tribe in social media that tarnishes the image of the tribe unless the tribal apex bodies decide so in the larger interest of the tribe.

Western Sumi Hoho has condemned a firing incident at the residence of the Lok Sabha MP Tokheho Yepthomi in Naharbari, Dimapur, on the night of March 6.
“Such a dastardly act should be condemned by all. The Hoho demands the authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and book the culprits as per the provisions of the law”, it stated in a press release issued on Thursday.
WAAU:
The Western Aghunato Areami Union (Dimapur, Niuland and Chumukedima) has condemned the firing incident at the residence of Lok Sabha MP, Tokheho Yepthomi, by some miscreants on March 6 at around 11 p.m.
The union urged the law enforcing agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and book the culprit as per the law at the earliest.
