Orgs condemn attack on Abu Metha’s residence


Dimapur, June 8: Nagaland State BJP has expressed shock at the dastardly act of some unknown miscreants who fired at the residence of NDPP secretary general, Abu Metha on June 5.
The BJP said it is clear that the unknown miscreants have one and only intention to spread fear psychosis.
The BJP condemned the action of the miscreants and expressed full support to Abu Metha , his wife and children. It also requested the law enforcing agencies to thoroughly probe into the incident and ensure that the miscreants are caught and kept behind bars to restore the confidence of the affected family in particular and the society at large.
The Naga People’s Front has vehemently condemned the firing incident that occurred at the residences of NDPP Secretary General, Abu Metha and MLA Sharingain Longkumer at Dimapur recently.
It was learnt that the miscreants fired several rounds from a sophisticated weapon indiscriminately to their residential gate, which amount to an attempt of life.
The NPF said when the whole Naga society is yearning for peace, such incident created by the unidentified gunmen is highly condemnable.
The NPF said such cowardly act has no place in the civilized society and demanded the state Government and the investigating agencies to probe the matter at the earliest and book the culprit.
The party also urged upon the state Government to stress on law and order in the state and maintain adequate security to the public lives.
The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) is shocked to learn that some miscreants have fired bullets at the residence of Abu Metha in Sovima Village on the night of June 5.
Stating that in pursuit of peace and harmony by every civilized society in Nagaland, such act of vandalism and terrorism against any law abiding citizens should be condemned by one and all, the CPO said the action of unlawful people in this regard, shows its cowardice and sub-human nature.
The CPO strongly condemned the incident and challenged the perpetrators to come out openly, if there are any issues with them in this matter.
The CPO viewed this incident as not less than attempt to murder and appealed to the law enforcing agencies to immediately take steps to identify and book the perpetrators.
The Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) has condemn the indiscriminate firing by the miscreant on the mid night of June 5 at the residence of Abu Metha who is also the Secretary General of NDPP party. The cowardly act to attempt the life of innocent citizens is intolerable and the organization shall not allow such perpetrators to Scot free, it said and appealed to the law enforcing agency to left no stone unturned till the culprit is brought to booked and a befitting punishment is given as per the provisions of law.
The Chiecha Youth Organization Dimapur (CYOD) has expressed shock at the indiscriminate firing at the resident of its bonafide member Abu Metha and his family on the night of June 5 at 11:30pm at Sovima, Dimapur.
The CYOD stated that such senseless action by mindless miscreant(s) threatening innocent life with arms/weapons are not acceptable in our society and should be condemned by all right thinking citizens.
The CYOD urged the investigating agencies to take urgent steps in tracing the culprit(s) at the earliest and punish according to the law of land so as to set an example.
The Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) has expressed shock at the indiscriminate firing that occurred at the residence of its senior member and advisor, Abu Metha at Sovima village on June 5.
The Association condemned the dastardly act and appealed to the authorities to investigate the incident and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators as per the law.
Meanwhile, NAMSA extended its full support to Abu Metha and prayed that Almighty bless him and his family and keep them safe from all harm.
The Tenyimi Peoples’ Organization (TPO) has vehemently condemned the shooting at the house of Abu Metha, Secretary General NDPP at Sovima on the night of June 5 and Rusemtong Longkumer, PRO to CM at Arai Mile Dimapur on the night of June 6 by unidentified gunmen.
The TPO implored upon all people and organisations, especially the law enforcing agencies, to get to the bottom of the matter and apprehend the miscreants at the earliest so as to nib-off such unwanted element before it gets cancerous to our society.
