Organisations, people mourn death of Medeo

Dimapur, April 11: Various organisations including Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA), Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) and Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) have expressed grief at the death of Vehushu Medeo, who passed away on April in Kohima.

In separate condolences messages, the organisations paid tribute to Medeo’s courage for standing for truth and his integrity as a public leader. They conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
NPF: Opposition Naga People’s Front (NPF) has expressed grief at the death of Vehushu Medeo, vice president of CPO, who passed away on Saturday morning in Kohima.
A condolence message from NPF chief Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu described Medeo was a staunch regionalist who had served the party on various capacities. It stated that his sacrifices and contributions towards the party will be always remembered and cherished.
The party conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
Neiba Kronu: Minister for Planning & Coordination, Neiba Kronu has expressed grief at the sudden and untimely demise of Veheshu Medeo, Vice President of CPO after a brief illness.
In a condolence message, Kronu said late Veheshu Medeo was a man of principal, integrity and also an active social worker with an amiable personality who worked tirelessly and courageously for the welfare of the community as a whole and Pfutsero area in particular.
Kronu also conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
NNPGs: Convenor of Working Committee, NNPGs & Ato Kilonser, GPRN/NSCN, N Kitovi Zhimomi has condoled the demise of Vehushu Medeo, Vice President, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), who passed away on April 10.
In a condolence message, Zhimomi stated that late Medeo was a nationalist, a patriot for his people and nation and was a leader with integrity and deep sense of justice in his understanding of social and political matters.
As a proactive Chakhesang leader, he offered positive advice to WC, NNPGs which were collectively studied, inserted in negotiations with the GoI and which is now reflected in the Indo-Naga status paper, Zhimomi stated.
Stating that his absence would be deeply felt by dear and near ones but the fond memories shall be cherished by all who came across him, Kitovi prayed for God Almighty’s grace to comfort the family at this hour. (Page News Service)

M.B NeokpaoKonyak and Ato Kilonser, N.Kitovi Zhimomi through the Chakhesang Region Care-Taker, SwuyetaTetseo, Kilonser has expressed at the untimely demise of one of the most respected Chakhesang leaders, Vehushu Medeo, Vice President, Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), on the April 10.

At this hour of grief, GPRN/NSCN Chakhesang Region extended heartfelt condolences to Sane Medeo and the children and prayed for God’s comfort to be upon the family.
