Only hope for Naga unity (With reference to Naga Peace Issue)

Naga unity as of now is at its worst.
There is no mutual respect between the NSCN-IM and the other NNPGs and the public in general. The various Naga National Political Groups including the NSCN-IM in their arrogance and greed over the decades have forced away one another and even earned the hatred of the Naga public in recent years, especially in Nagaland.
The NSCN-IM no doubt is the most prominent Naga National Political Group today. But if the NSCN-IM in their arrogance and stubbornness continue to expect all other groups including public to surrender and join them in one accord, I don’t see possibilities of unity and cooperation because each group claim to be ahead of the other and wish to have the upper hand.
As of now, it is looking like some kind of solution is going to come with or without the NSCN-IM which is sad and not a solution.
We the public are fed up of the endless extortion, intimidations, killings and disrespect amongst ourselves, all of these happening in the name of Naga Nationalism for decades.
Will our so called Naga National Workers from all groups humble themselves today, fear the Almighty God, forgive one another and unite as a people?
For any group who wish to be leaders must humble themselves first, forgive and cooperate with others in mutual respect, humility and unconditional love. Only then we can hope for unity and peace amongst ourselves. And then, when we are truly united, we can be a powerful entity to negotiate or fight for our rightful freedom to be a nation. As of now, very sadly, we are our own enemy.
This Bible verse seems to be written for us Nagas today. Let us read every word with reverence and take necessary actions. God is our last and best resort.
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”
If we truly love our people and land, let us take heed of this message from the Bible and allow God Almighty to save and heal us!
Christ for Nagaland!
A concerned Naga,
Colo Mero
