One drowns at Doyang

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 5: After a 2-day search operation, the body of a 38-year-old man was fished out of Doyang River on November 4.
According to a DIPR bulletin, the victim was Aghoto Chophi of Lotisa New Village.
On receiving information of a drowning incident at Doyang River (Mokokchung Road), the District Disaster Management Authority of Wokha deployed Home Guards & Civil Defence (HG&CD) and SDRF (Wokha) on November 3.
“The team, led by a Sub-Inspector along with 18 personnel, did a search operation for two days. On day 1 the SDRF team did a search and rescue operation through paddle search, line search, and using OBM. SDRV personnel carried OBM for 4 km which took around one hour to reach the spot. On day 1, search operation was called off around 4 p.m.”, it stated.
Next day, on November 4, the SDRF team along with NDRF (force) and local communities continued the search operation. At around 11 a.m., the body was successfully retrieved by the SDRF personnel and local divers, it stated.
