The fixation of rates by Dimapur Municipal Council for vegetables is a welcome step, but the concerned authorities also need to check whether those rates are being followed. Citing shortage in supply of vegetables from Assam, many vendors fix their own rates. Till the flood situation improves and supply increase, people in Nagaland will continue to suffer from shortage of vegetables.
