The recent drive by the NF Railways to check ticketless passengers on various trains might have yielded huge amount of money as fines collected from the passengers, but the practice of boarding reserved coaches with general tickets or without ticket continues unabated. Travelling from Dimapur to Guwahati and vice-versa in reserved Sleeper Classes have become difficult for passengers with genuine tickets, as unreserved passengers are always overcrowed and no railway officials including the TTE do anything to prevent their entry. If this continues, the Railways are going to lose huge revenue on daily basis. Even travelling in Jan Satabadi trains have become difficult as it becomes overcrowded most of the time.
