The establishment of a Cardiac Care Centre with a Cath Lab at CIHSR will go a long way in treating cardiac patients, especially in emergency cases. Till now, patients were referred to either Guwahati or Shillong but due to long journey in ambulance many people could not survive. In such emergency cases, the newly Cardiac Centre at CIHSR would prove to be a boon, provide the treatment costs are reasonable. Even for angiography people had to travel outside Nagaland, but now they can have it done here itself, which will save time and money to great extent. I hope many patients in Nagaland will benefit by this Centre.
