On new ordinance on rape

Dear Madam,
The ordinance passed by the Central Government against rape of children below 12 years of age, awarding the highest punishment of death is a welcome step. However, the new law, if passed has to be implemented at the earliest and in such rape cases the judgement should not be delayed. It is known fact that judgement in rape cases are prolonged for years and if this happens after this law is made, it would be meaningless.
