Everyone knows that Nagaland faced a series of disaster during July-August due to incessant rains causing major landslides and flash floods affecting thousands of people. As per reports by Nagaland Disaster Management Authority, 13.19% of the total population of the state was affected, with some districts completely cut off from others for days. Due to the extent of damage, the state will need time and lots of money to rebuild the infrastructure and bring normalcy in the situation. Central government’s help in this regard at the earliest will be most appreciable at this juncture as the estimated cost for repairing the damages as been calculated at Rs 800 crores.
