Nagaland observed cleanliness drive across the state on September 30 as part of Swachchata Hi Sewa campaign launched across the country. However, few hours of cleanliness drive is not going to help as long as people do not develop civic sense and maintain cleanliness on daily basis. Garbages are dumped on roadsides almost daily and sometimes it piles up in some places and starts rotting. The civic body of the district alone cannot maintain cleanliness of the town unless the citizens take part in keeping their surroundings clean.
