Offices bid farewell to officials


Dimapur, June 17: The Nagaland Public Service Commission bade farewell to its chairman A. Yanang Konyak at a solemn function held at Hotel Japfu Kohima on reaching 62 years of age.
Yanang Konyak first joined the commission as member on 01-02-2012 and later on was appointed as chairman of the commission on 01-02-2015 and continued to hold the office till he retired on 13-06-2018.
The function was also held jointly for Sukhoi Khiamniungan, peon, who retired on 31-05-2018 after serving in the commission for 34 years. The farewell function was chaired by Khrupi Sothu, secretary of the commission. Short speeches were given by all members as well as officers and staff of the commission.
Yanang Konyak while delivering his farewell speech pointed out that while the commission has never been appreciated for conducting its structured examinations regularly, he encouraged all members and staff of the commission not to be discouraged with negative criticism but continue to work earnestly with integrity and dedication in the interest of a better tomorrow.
Noklak: Farewell service in honour of the outgoing ADC Noklak, Thsuvisei Phoji was held on June 14 at DB’s Court Noklak.
Delivering the farewell speech, the outgoing ADC said that Noklak is one of the best administrative Hqs he had ever served in his service career. He said the staff and other departments of the sub division gave him good co-ordination and understanding. He said he would cherish the fond memories he had with his colleagues and the people of the area.
He mentioned that it is the duty of the government officials to obey the order of the government. He expressed thankfulness to all the organizations for supporting him during his stay and urged them to continue this spirit in future.
EAC Noklak (HQ), Nchemthung Ezung, who chaired the function, expressed appreciation for rendering good services to the people of Noklak.
