DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 8: Amidst confusion among the people of Dimapur as to whether the odd-even system of vehicular movement in the district is still in existence, DCP Dimapur (Crime) Bharat Laxman Markad has informed that the system has been discontinued.
He told Nagaland Page that though no fresh directives related to the system has been issued, according to the previous order, the system was scheduled to be in place till September 2 only.
On reports of alleged fines being imposed on supposed violators of odd-even rule even after its discontinuation, he clarified that all those responsible for the implementation of the odd-even in the district are aware of the discontinuation and people might be attributing fines related to other traffic violations to the odd-even system.
