‘Odd-Even’ system relaxed in Kohima for poll day

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 2: In view of the conduct of bye-election to the 14th Southern Angami-I (ST) Assembly Constituency on November 3, DC & DEO, Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A has relaxed the ‘Odd-Even’ system for movement of vehicles for November 3 under the jurisdiction of Kohima district.
Polling personnel dispatched
Meanwhile for the conduct of the bye-election in 14 Southern Angami -1 (ST) A/C, a total number of 132 polling personnel along with 22 web casting operators and security personnel were dispatched on Monday from the office of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima.
The polling parties collected Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) and other required polling materials and proceeded to their respective assigned polling stations for successful conduct of the bye-election.
For bye-election to the 60 Pungro-Kiphire A/C, most polling personnel moved out today to their respective polling stations. Due to the bad condition of roads in some villages, some of the polling party moved out on Sunday since they have to walk. Five women teams of polling personnel were also sent to their respective assigned villages. (Page News Service)
