Dimapur, May 4: With the declaration of areas under Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Chumoukedima Town Council (CTC) and villages/colonies along Dimapur-Chumoukedima four-lane road under Dimapur District and areas under Kohima Municipal council (KMC) and New Capital Complex under Kohima District as ‘containment zones’ by the State Government, authorities will enforce odd-even system of vehicular movement in the ‘containment zones’ with effect from 7 pm of May 5, for a period of 7 days.
“Vehicle with registration number ending with odd numbers will be allowed to ply on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, and vehicles ending with even numbers will ply on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. “Authorities informed all officers & staff in the exempted category to carry identity card issued by respective HoDs.
“Violation of the odd-even system will be penalised under MV Act, it cautioned. (Page News Service)
