‘Odd-Even’ system extended till Nov 30 in Kohima

Dimapur, October 31: Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab has notified extension of the ‘Odd-Even’ system for movement of private vehicles, including public transport (taxis and city buses) under the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal areas, except on Sundays, till November 30.
As per the order, odd numbered vehicles will ply on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while even numbered vehicles will ply on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The prohibition and restriction of movement of vehicles will, however, not apply to press and two-wheelers (without pillion rider); vehicles carrying emergency medical equipments, essential commodities, LPG cylinders and oil tankers; inter-state trucks carrying essential commodities bound for the state of Manipur.
All permits/ exemptions issued prior to the issue of the order shall stand cancelled with immediate effect, the order said.
