NYKS organizes training on youth leadership

Dimapur, March 26: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Dimapur Unit, in collaboration with NSS Unit Immanuel College Dimapur, organised a training on youth leadership and community development programme on March 25 at the College conference hall.
A press release informed that 40 students participated in the programme.
In the first session, Dr. Yan Murry, founder and CEO of Pinnacle Skills, was the speaker. He emphasised on youth leadership and stated that leadership should begin from family.
Komuni Kayina, Soft Skills Instructor at Pinnacle Skills, was another resource person who enlightened the students with basic required skills to be an influential leader in every area.
Mary Kent, United Nations Volunteer and former DYO of NYKS, Dimapur, talked on community development through volunteerism, by actively involving all the students through group activities.
According to feedbacks provided by the students, they learned about unity and cooperation through understanding each other’s grievances and taking into consideration the opinions of others in reaching a decision.
The students also learned lessons on equity and compassion, especially with regard to the underprivileged and downtrodden people in the society.
