NTA extends best wishes to Heutingyi

Dimapur, April 8: The Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) extended best wishes to Heutingyi, under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) who will represent India at World Junior Taekwondo Championship scheduled from April 9 to 13 at Hammamet ,Tunisia.
To put the record straight, the NTA clarified that Heutingyi, currently at under training in Taekwondo at Army Boys Company Ranikhet, Uttarakhand, represents -Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) and his selection to the India team came through Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) for the World’ s Championship.
Usually at the World’ Championship, the Government of India (GOI) through Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the concerned federation that is Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) have to bear all expenses and expenditures of each player during the training period, at the time of the Championship and the return journey back to the country.
However this time to round, the TFI has asked to concerned selected player to solely bear his or her own expenses. More so the TFI, is going through a crisis and the Federation has not been receiving grant -in -aid from the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports because of TFI’s court case.
Since Heutingyi was facing financial difficult to bear his expenses, Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) President and Northeast Taekwondo Union Chairman, Pele Khezhie, step in to generously sponsor Heutingyi for the World Junior Taekwondo Championship and in the meantime many well wishers come forward to help him, which enable Heutingyi to represent the country at the World Championships.
