Dimapur, April 6: Naga Students’ Union, Rajasthan has been collaborating with Samarpit Sathi Foundation, Jaipur since the start of the 21-day lockdown in the country in providing rations to more than 50 Naga brothers and sisters stranded in Malviyanagar Sec-11 & 12, Jaipur.
NSUR under the aegis of Nodal Officer, Shanavas IAS, Principal Director of School Education, Government of Nagaland received an amount of Rs. 1 lakh from the CMO Relief Fund on April 2.
NSUR has extended assistance to 10 university student tenants to procure basic commodities at Gangrar, Chittorgarh.
NSUR through Linda Newmai, a social worker from North East collaborated with Team SosCorona which provided cooking fuels (LPG) and rations to the stranded Nagas in Jagatpura and Malviyanagar, Jaipur.
Naga Students’ Union, Rajasthan has extended gratitude to Nodal Officer, Shavanas IAS, Chief Minister’s Office (Nagaland), social worker Linda Newmai, B L Puruhit and Samarpit Sathi Foundation, Team SoSCorona, NL Mehra, ADM Jodhpur, Rajasthan Police, NSF President, Ninuto Awomi, NSU Presidents in cities and all volunteers who have rendered humanitarian and philanthropic services to the Naga people here in Rajasthan at this time of chaos and insufficiency due to the pandemic COVID-19.
Further, NSUR requested the entire fraternity of the Nagas in Rajasthan not to panic but to be conscious of the deadly virus and to take every preventive measure at the same time refraining from the practice and feeling ‘ism’ and negativity among the Naga brothers. (Page News Service)
