NSUI urges for rates of public transport

Dimapur, April 23: The National Students’ Union of India, Nagaland state today urged the Chairman, Regional Transport Authority to publish the latest rates of public transport.
In a letter to the Chairman, RTA, the NSUI president, X Chopika Sumi and general secretary, Rhonathung E Ovung stated that several public transport operating in Kohima are charging exorbitant fares
There is no definite or uniform rates for taxis and other public transportation services which causes a huge toll on the public particularly the students’ community who have to rely on such services everyday, it said.
The Union also requested the Chairman to permit students in uniforms to avail certain discounts. (Page News Service)
