Dimapur, May 26: Naga Students’ Union Chennai (NSUC) has extended gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu and its officials, S J Chiru IAS, Sudhan IAS, Greater Chennai Corporation, Government of Nagaland headed by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy, Additional Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, APC, Y Kikheto Sema, Additional Secretary of Agriculture, Nugnsangwapang, Mohammad Ali Shihab IAS, Manok Kumar IPS, Limatoshi Imsong NPS, Southern Indian Railways, NEIWAC leaders Wapangtoshi and Tluanga colony, Executive Secretary of United Evagelical Lutheran Church in India (UELCI) Rev Joshua Peter and other officials who took part in successfully bringing home the stranded students and workers from the first Shramik Train from Chennai to Dimapur.
The NSUC expressed happiness on the safe return of the stranded students, workers, medical patients and their safe stay at the quarantine centres. It also acknowledged the service of the medical team, media, security personnel, catering services, drivers, dedicated volunteers from Chennai and Nagaland and those individuals who were at the forefront in deliberately extracting the returnees to their safety.
This collective effort of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of Nagaland and responsible Naga citizens is a pure witness of the manifestation of God’s love, it said. (Page News Service)
