NST passengers buses to operate from Oct 29

Dimapur, October 23: General Manager, Nagaland State Transport has informed that all NST Bus services operation would resume from October 29 by strictly adhering to SOP guidelines and maintaining social distancing of 50% seating capacity.
In this regard, General Manager, Er Atovi Kiba Sema has instructed all Station Officers to follow guidelines while operating services.
According to a circular issued by the GM, in all passenger buses including city buses, the passengers should sit on alternate seats and there should always be a vacant seat between two adjacent passengers sitting. No standing passengers would be allowed to travel.
In all passenger vehicles, driver, conductor and the passengers should wear masks and the driver/conductor should make mandatory provision of hand sanitizers for use by the passengers. Only passengers wearing masks must be allowed to travel, the GM stated.
The GM further stated that all bonafide passengers must mandatorily undergo thermal screening test to embark into the bus and in the event of detection of any passenger with high temperature, must not be allowed to travel.
According to the circular, the driver and conductor should mandatorily carry appropriate disinfectants and periodically disinfect frequently touched surfaces of the vehicle such as doors and window handles, seats, overhead hand grips etc.
All Station Officers have been instructed to workout fare tickets of respective stations with multiplier of Rs 2.61 per seat per km and rounded off to nearest Rs 10 till the Covid-19 COP guidelines are lifted by the Government. (Page News Service)
