NSSATA calls off agitation

Dimapur, May 25: The Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) had initiated its agitation from May 2 till date, demanding 7th ROP in line with regular state employees; inclusion into the State Non Plan Budget; and to release the salaries of January 2018 till date with 7th ROP has informed its members that the 2nd phase agitation would come to end with effect from May 26 and would be relaxed until further notice from the central team.
The Association thanked all its members for their cooperation thus far. It also warned all erring SSA teachers (2010 & 2013 batch) who are found not adhering to the resolution passed by the Association, stating that they would be dealt with severely and that failure of the agitation would be their sole responsibility.
The Association also sought support from the public as the teachers, who have been discriminated by the Government and meted with step-motherly treatment time and again, fight for what is rightfully theirs. The Association reminded the Government that it would not call off its agitation until ‘Justice is delivered’.
The Association further reminded all its members to be mentally and physically prepared for the call of the Association for initiation of the 3rd (Third) Phase of Agitation.
Meanwhile, the Association has convened a Joint Meeting along with all District Units on May 30 at the CANSSEA’s office, Kohima at 11:00 a.m. All District Executives have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. (Page News Service)
