NSSA bids farewell to retiring officials


Dimapur, April 26: In 2018, 23 officials of various rankings from Secretary to Under Secretary of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association have been released from service on completion of 35 years of service among whom one was on attaining the age of superannuation as per an order of State P&AR Department.
A farewell programme in honour of the NSS officers organized by the NSSA was held today in the Secretariat conference hall Kohima. The combined farewell programme of various officers from different departments was the first of its kind that was been accorded to the NSSA officials today. Among the retiring officers included three Secretaries, seven Additional Secretaries, ten Joint Secretaries, two Deputy Secretaries and one Under Secretary.
On behalf of the retiring officers, C. Kikon, Secretary, Home, said that attaining retirement is the greatest achievement for a Government servant. Giving gratefulness to the Almighty he also said that it is all possible by the grace of God. Expressing satisfaction and happiness on his attainment of retirement he also said that while in service one has given his best time and prime time to serve the public. He said one on retirement is free to do anything he chooses to contribute to the society. Conveying congratulations to all his retired colleagues he also wished them well.
On the occasion, Kikon also exhorted the junior upcoming officers to work hard to earn good experience and efficiency and also become an asset to the state.
Sweho Naleo, the senior most official of the NSS said, “Your guidance and encouragement in the course of our journey as Government Servants has been made all the more worthwhile because of your mentorship”. (Page News Service)
